Senior Assessment Manager
We have a 12-month FTC opportunity at City & Guilds working as Senior Assessment Manager to lead and manage a team.
The Senior Assessment Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership of the Assessment team, ensuring delivery of high quality assessment materials and accurate results to learners.
You will manage a team of 4 managers, so experience in managing and developing large, high performing teams is essential. You will also need to be an expert in qualification and assessment design, development and delivery.
We are flexible on location for this role, you can be based anywhere across the UK.
This appointment will be made on merit.

About the role
The Senior Assessment Manager will lead, manage and develop a team of Lead Managers that are responsible for the production, maintenance and delivery of assessments for a range of products and sectors. You will contribute and lead on the implementation of the Assessment team's strategy, which aligns to the wider City & Guilds strategy.
You will allocate resources, ensuring efficiencies and forward plan to ensure that we can manage strategic initiatives and budgeting as well as ensuring that we have a robust management framework and plan to deliver. Leading a team of Assessment professionals, you will proactively raise and manage risks, issues and incidents ensuring root cause analysis is turned into action and we are continuously improving.
You will also take accountability for the setting of the annual budget and capacity plans, developing and managing delivery of the team objectives within that budget.
About you
We are looking for experts in qualification and assessment design, development and delivery as well as operational experience of planning and managing teams to produce high volumes of assessments and results to time and quality.
You will need to have managed and developed large, high performing teams that include technical experts to ensure products are delivered to quality and time requirements.
You will need to possess leadership, training and coaching skills as well as advanced levels of communication and influencing skills. You will also need the ability to plan, and manage high volumes of activity, including resource planning as well as experience in managing financial and budgetary cost control.
