Head of Centre Quality
Are you an experienced industry expert with a passion for quality assurance and leadership? We're looking for a dynamic and confident manager to lead our Centre Quality team at City & Guilds.
As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll collaborate across departments—Assessment, Operations, Customer Services, and Associate Management—to meet regulatory, customer, and learner requirements. You’ll own the strategy for centre quality assurance, focusing on risk management, compliance, and delivering reliable learner outcomes.
This is a full-time hybrid role and ideally, we would like the candidate to be contracted to our London, Wakefield, or Warrington office.

About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute our centre quality assurance strategy.
- Lead a high-performing team, ensuring exceptional service and efficiency.
- Build frameworks to maintain quality standards across UK and international centres.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Represent the organisation with stakeholders like Ofqual and IFATE.
- Manage budgets, projects, and resource plans for peak periods.
- Use data-driven insights to inform decisions and identify opportunities.
About you
- Proven experience in developing and executing effective quality assurance strategies within an awarding body.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating large hybrid teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to navigate regulatory and government education policy changes.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of representing the organisation with credibility.
- Customer-focused with a solid understanding of assessment principles.
- Financial and budget management skills.
- Experience in international QA and change management is a plus.
