Principal Consultant (Management and Leadership Development)

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Principal Consultant to join The Oxford Group.

As a Principal Consultant you will be responsible for designing and delivering leadership  and management development solutions to our clients. You will be pivotal to delivering a positive experience and outcome for clients through innovative design and impactful delivery of in person and virtual leadership and management development.  The successful candidate will need to possess significant facilitation experience and gravitas to influence, hold the space and gain credibility quickly with the most senior professionals in global organisations.

We are looking for an innovative, creative, and technically savvy consultant who will be able to deliver engaging programmes to our key clients.

For the Principal Consultant role, we are happy to consider candidates from across the UK with the expectation  of the regular travel to our HQ office in London. 

This vacancy will suit, both individuals who are working in the L&D/Consultancy space but also, candidates who are used to delivering in-house Leadership Development. Salary will depend on skills and experience of the successful candidate.

About the role

This is a critical role for the Oxford Group where you will play a major part in the design and delivery of our Leadership Solutions.

You will be responsible for designing and delivering client solutions (leadership and management development), leading and contributing to the design of value propositions and new products and supporting the bids process. 

The principal consultant will define, design and act as a programme lead. You will be designing bespoke programmes and content to support clients in improving leadership and management capability.

We would like our Principal Consultant to demonstrate contemporary and effective approaches to management and leadership development incorporating appropriate technology and psychometric tools where necessary. The Principal Consultant would also ensure that members of the project and delivery team understand the scope, context and objectives of the programme that has been designed and are set up to deliver effectively.

As a Principal Consultant you would gather market and client intelligence to inform new solutions. We would like you to research current trends and development in leadership, management, and coaching. 

The Principal Consultant will act as an ambassador and subject matter expert for The Oxford Group at external forums.

About you

Attributes we are looking for: 

  • Exceptional in-person and virtual facilitation skills (specific to management and leadership development) – demonstrating flexibility, inclusiveness and engagement relevant to global audiences​
  • Excellent consulting and relationship building skills
  • Current and in-depth understanding of market and client needs across all aspects of Leadership and Management​ development
  • Highly experienced in solution design and delivery​
  • A willingness to challenge and bring fresh thinking​
  • Excellent understanding of learning technologies
  • Deep knowledge of leadership best practice and organisational development, supported by a robust understanding of psychological theories that drive individual, team, and cultural performance
  • Ability to work with a range of clients providing insight, support and challenge
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills

The successful applicant may be required to undertake appropriate checks, including a DBS disclosure as well as providing proof of the right to work in the UK.
