Sales Analyst (Senior Sales & Market Insight Analyst)

We are currently recruiting for an Experienced Sales Analyst to join our City & Guilds business, here in Wakefield. 

This is a permanent hybrid opportunity and we offer a mix of home and office working arrangements. We would like the candidate to be present in our Wakefield office 3 times per week.  

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Customer Solutions Executive Director and the Senior Sales Leadership Team, enabling them to make informed commercial decisions and drive profitable revenue growth.

Senior Sales & Market Insight Analyst role will suit an individual with previous experience in a similar position, working with senior stakeholders, who can not only analyse data but also communicate findings clearly and present insights to the wider business. We are looking for someone who can interpret data effectively and propose solutions and actions based on their analysis.

Ideally, we are seeking a candidate with experience in a sales division or another commercial environment.

As a Senior Sales & Market Insight Analyst, you will work with large volumes of data and commercial statistics related to both national and international customers and markets.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, cleansing, and analysing large-scale sales datasets, including revenue, margin, and pipeline information.

You will conduct in-depth and competitive analyses across key sectors, enhancing market intelligence through the identification and integration of new data sources and client insights.

This role will play a key part in supporting commercial decision-making through client profiling, regional analysis, and market evaluation.

The postholder will develop and maintain dynamic dashboards in Power BI and Excel to monitor key performance indicators, sales trends, and market share. 

Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of information across CRM, SAP BW, and other reporting systems will be central to the role, alongside promoting strong data governance and continuous improvement in data quality and processes.

The candidate will also lead automation initiatives and the integration of new data feeds to improve reporting efficiency.

A commitment to driving data literacy across the sales function is essential, as is contributing to wider projects involving forecasting, segmentation, and performance analysis to support business growth.

About you

We are looking for an Experienced Analyst with strong Excel and Office skills, along with experience working with CRMs and Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI. We seek a candidate with excellent attention to detail and the ability to take complex information and distil it into simple, compelling stories.

You will have the ability to network both internally and externally, work with different stakeholders, and present information to senior leaders.

You will possess excellent communication skills that enable you to engage at all levels within an organisation, ensuring data is presented in appropriate styles that people can easily understand.
