Learner and Employer Engagement Officer (Apprenticeships)
City & Guild Training is currently recruiting for this amazing opportunity to work as a Learner and Employer Engagement Officer (Apprenticeships).
You will be joining our Intertrain business and you will be located in our office in Crawley.
We are looking for a person who enjoys interactions with external customers as in this role, you will be required to attend offsite meetings and events.
The Learner and Employer Engagement Officer will play a crucial role in recruiting apprentices and employers for our rail and electrical apprenticeship programmes.
This position involves actively promoting the programmes, identifying potential candidates, and building strong relationships with employers to ensure successful apprenticeship placements.

About The Role
What you will be doing:
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and recruit apprentices for rail and electrical programmes.
- Conduct outreach activities, including school visits, career fairs, and online campaigns, to promote apprenticeship opportunities.
- Screen and interview potential apprentices to assess their suitability for the programmes.
- Identify and engage with employers in the rail and electrical sectors to promote the benefits of apprenticeship programmes.
- Build and maintain a network of employer partners who are committed to offering apprenticeship opportunities.
- Collaborate with employers to understand their workforce needs and match them with suitable apprenticeship candidates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for both apprentices and employers throughout the recruitment process.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to apprentices and employers to ensure successful placements and programme satisfaction.
- Organise and facilitate events, workshops, and information sessions to enhance engagement and participation.
- Work alongside marketing to develop materials and campaigns to raise awareness of apprenticeship programmes.
- Utilise social media, online platforms, and community networks to reach potential apprentices and employers.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and adjust as needed.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent telephone manner, great attention to detail and ability to provide an excellent level of customer service.
The role would suit an individual who is IT literate: Competent in using Microsoft packages i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
In this role, we will ask you to attend different events so we would like you to have a driving licence too.
