Lead ISO Manager
Join City & Guilds as a Lead ISO Manager and drive the establishment, implementation, and management of our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards. You'll play a pivotal role in achieving and maintaining ISO 9001 accreditation, embedding a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting our strategic objectives
You will be working on a hybrid basis with a mix of home and office. We're flexible about where you might be based to undertake this role.

About the role
- Develop and maintain the QMS to support operational excellence and ISO 9001 accreditation.
- Lead the organisation’s preparation for ISO 9001 accreditation, including gap analysis, process mapping, and documentation.
- Oversee internal audits, ensuring a robust and effective audit schedule.
- Manage the ISO Officer and potentially other staff, fostering development and high performance.
- Lead awareness training initiatives to embed ISO principles across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain an audit programme to monitor compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop risk strategies to mitigate threats to ISO accreditation.
- Provide regular reports to leadership and governance teams, highlighting progress and issues.
About you
- Proven leadership in developing and implementing organisational-wide quality improvement strategies.
- Experience managing QMS and working in an ISO-accredited environment, ideally in the education or compliance sector.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 principles and internal audit processes.
- Exceptional communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to manage data and drive decision-making.
- Proven experience managing projects and delivering results under pressure.
Whilst not mandatory, it would be beneficial if you have knowledge of quality assurance in vocational education and regulatory standards.
