Content Marketing Executive

At City & Guilds, we’re on the lookout for a Content Marketing Executive to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in crafting compelling content across multiple channels to enhance brand awareness, engage our audience, and drive market share.

As a Content Marketing Executive, you’ll be at the heart of our content strategy, helping to shape and distribute high-quality content that makes an impact.

You will be working on a hybrid basis with a mix of home and office.  We're flexible about where you might be based to undertake this role, but you'll need to be able to travel into our London office as well as adhoc travel to other locations as required.

About the role

  • Content Creation & Optimisation - Writing engaging blogs, case studies, website copy, social media posts, email content, and video scripts that resonate with our audience and align with our brand.
  • SEO & Performance – Ensuring all content is optimised for search engines, driving organic traffic, and improving our digital presence.
  • Content Promotion & Distribution – Collaborating with our digital and social media teams to distribute content effectively across all relevant channels.
  • Audience & Market Research – Keeping up with industry trends, competitor activity, and audience insights to inform content strategy.
  • Tracking & Reporting – Measuring the success of content using analytics tools like Google Analytics, providing insights, and recommending improvements.

About you

  • 1-2 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, or a related marketing role.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with an adaptable tone and style.
  • Experience in digital content creation, including blogs, social media, websites, and email marketing.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and content optimisation.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to generate compelling content ideas.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, social media management tools, and basic design software is a plus.
